What sort of degree should I be studying?

We recommend you complete an ICAA accredited degree that includes specific subjects (such as accounting, tax and finance)

Which university should I attend?

Our cadets have commenced their degrees at the following universities:-

  • UTS
  • Macquarie University
  • University of Western Sydney
  • University of New South Wales

From past experience UTS provides the greatest flexibility in timetabling, combined with it’s convenient location to the CBD we would recommend applicants consider this university where possible.

What is the average starting salary?

Camphin Bostons salaries are competitive with the market, performance reviews are conducted bi-annually and salary reviews annually.

When will I commence employment?

Successful cadets will commence with Camphin Boston in early July after attending university full time for the first semester (we pay you a weekly allowance whilst you are full time uni).

What hours will I work?

Our office hours are between 8.45am and 5.15pm and generally there is no requirement for overtime.

Am I able to specialise?

If you wish to specialise in a particular area of accounting as your career progresses we can assign you to work alongside one of our Managers specialising in Audit, Taxation, Business Services or Information Technology.

WHAT STUDY LEAVE / ALLOWANCE WILL I GET?

You will receive one half day off per week to attend lectures, plus 2 study days and 1 exam day per subject per semester.
