Coronavirus SA Stimulus Package

On 11 March 2020, the South Australian government announced an economic stimulus package worth $350 million to safeguard and grow SA economy and jobs in the wake of the ongoing impact of bushfires, drought, and coronavirus. The measures include:


BUSINESS SUPPORT

  • Major infrastructure maintenance projects including roads and hospital upgrades.

  • New tourism infrastructure.

  • An expanded economic and business growth fund to support local industries.

  • The projects to be funded must meet certain criteria such as the ability to start works within a short period of time, being labour-intensive and/or requiring significant purchase of local materials, services and supplies.
