Coronavirus SA Stimulus Package
On 11 March 2020, the South Australian government announced an economic stimulus package worth $350 million to safeguard and grow SA economy and jobs in the wake of the ongoing impact of bushfires, drought, and coronavirus. The measures include:
BUSINESS SUPPORT
Major infrastructure maintenance projects including roads and hospital upgrades.
New tourism infrastructure.
An expanded economic and business growth fund to support local industries.
The projects to be funded must meet certain criteria such as the ability to start works within a short period of time, being labour-intensive and/or requiring significant purchase of local materials, services and supplies.
