State/Territory Stimulus Packages

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Australian States and Territories have also announced their economic stimulus packages this week in order to help protect jobs and health of the community in their own State / Territory, in addition to those announced by the federal government.

NSW Stimulus Package

On 11 March 2020, the South Australia government announced an economic stimulus package worth $350 million.

ACT Stimulus Package

On 20 March 2020, the ACT government announced the first tranche of its multi-stage economic stimulus package

NT Stimulus Package

On 18 March 2020, the ACT government announced a $65 million stimulus package aimed at business upgrades & renovations.

QLD Stimulus Package

On 17 March 2020, the QLD government announced a suite of initiatives to support businesses and industries.

SA Stimulus Package

On 11 March 2020, the South Australia government announced an economic stimulus package worth $350 million.

TAS Stimulus Package

On 17 March 2020, the Tasmanian government released a $420 million stimulus package with emphasis on the health & safety.

VIC Stimulus Package

While the Victoria premier is yet to announce any stimulus package, the Melbourne City Council passed on the following measures.

WA Stimulus Package

On 16 March 2020, the Western Australia government announced a $607 million economic stimulus package.
